Full descriptions of both the Super Sprint and the Sprint distance events
SPRINT RUN COURSE
The Sprint Distance run is a 5.5 km loop while the Super Sprint Distance run is 3.5 km. Elevation change is minimal. Both the Sprint and Super Sprint include sections of road and off-road running, taking competitors through the stunning grounds of Tatton Park. Sprint Distance competitors complete one full loop; Super Sprint Distance competitors will turn around halfway along Tatton's main driveway.
The first few metres of the run is flat and paved, taking you out from Tatton Gate to the start of the off road trail. Once on the trail you'll run off road through the deer park. Having reached the turn around point, you will run along Tatton's Knutsford Drive, exiting the park through the Knutsford Gate where you rejoin Mereheath Lane before entering Transition for the first time and claiming your bike.
An exhilerating 11 km (Super Sprint Distance) or 22 km (Sprint Distance) taking competitors through the iconic grounds of Tatton Park. The course includes minimal elevation change, taking you from the transition area at the Egerton Youth Club, along Mereheath Lane, through Tatton Park and out through the Rostherne Gate.
Super Sprint competitors will complete one lap; Sprint competitors will completed two laps.
Importantly, apart from the exit from the Egerton Youth Club, the majority of the course takes place in the traffic free environment of Tatton Park, and all turns onto road junctions are left hand turns. In addition, there is no significant elevation change making it ideal for competitors who are taking their first steps in multi-sport.
Second Run Course
The second run is approximately a 1.25 km loop around the grounds of the Egerton Youth Club. It is an entirely off road run. Super Sprint distance competitors will complete one lap of the course, while Sprint distance competitors will complete two laps.
When you have finished the race you will have the thrill of running up the finishing chute at the Egerton Youth Club, with your supporters there to cheer you home.
Congratulations! You will have conquered Canute!!
